Happy Thursday!

Well my Thursday started out just wonderfully.
Can you pick up on my sarcasm?
Let me recap.
Hazel woke up around 6:15 screaming "mommy... COME GET ME!" So I let her sit in there for a minute to see if she would fall back asleep but the yelling just got louder "MOMMY... ME AWAKE... COME HERE! MOMMY... MOMMY... MOMMY"
So as the great mother that I am  I walked in there.. still asleep... got her and put her in my bed. Jonathan was still in the shower so I knew as soon as he got out we would be up for the day. Little girl loves her daddy and LOVES to hug him when he needs to leave. So as soon as the bathroom door opened she screamed "DADDY HOME! PLAY DADDY! HUG YOU DADDY!" And I knew my time in dreamland was over.

So for.no.reason. she starts "crying."  I put that in quotations because SHE  EVEN WASN'T CRYING. She was just making that wuuuuu wuuuuu wuuuu noise. No tears. Now, mama has some patience when actual tears are involved. Mama has NO patience for just noise. If you're going to cry I need to see some tears. So, she did this the whole time that Jonathan got dressed.
The whole time I made coffee.
The whole time I made her breakfast.
The whole time I sat down and snuggled with her.
Then... I guess the tee tee sensation hit her because she immediately stopped "crying" and went to the potty to tee tee. As soon as she got off the potty and I wiped her, she started "crying" again.
So what's a mom to do?
I put on Calliou. That little weirdo. She loves him.
Finally after another 3 minutes of whine she quieted down to listen to him.
So here I sit listening to Calliou and his little family being so cheerful and his mother is always so nice and patient.
I've been awake for 2 hours. Drank 3 cups of coffee. Have a gnawing, dull headache and I haven't even breakfast yet.
I am not the picture of the perfect mother like Calliou's mom. I am still in my pajamas guzzling coffee like there is no calories in it tomorrow. I did make Hazel breakfast... So at least one of us has eaten.

Do you ever feel like the worst mother in the world?

On a totally different note...
I'm going to be having a give away soon! That's right folks, little ole me is getting a product shipped to me FO FREE as we speak.
So... I'll be posting a review of this said product and if it's good enough for you guys then I'll be doing a give away. I have no idea how to do that so any tips would be wonderful.. I'm planning on just googling it. That is my answer to everything.
Well I'm off to drink more coffee..

Happy Thursday.

  1. This made me laugh. I hate noise too, and catch myself several times a day saying "you can't punch your kid. She will only cry more." Feeling like a bad mother just means you care enough to notice. Haha at least that is what I tell myself. Yay free stuff! Good job.

    1. hahahahahaha! You can punch your kid. That made me laugh. Hard! I often have to just walk away... Sometimes the whining is just enough to push me over the edge and I just put on a movie for her and walk away... usually to fold laundry but that 5 minutes of alone time usually calms me down! haha Thank you!

  3. I just told my daughter that I can't do noise right now. She just talks nonstop and makes crazy noises, she is 11. I know one day I am going to miss that noise, but for now I have a headache and need some more coffee. Looking forward to the giveaway.

    1. haha!!! I tell Hazel that often. "Mommy needs a break from noise and talking." Hazel talks non-stop too. Usually in the car... Or when I'm cooking or eating. It never stops really. I love her to pieces but sometimes I need SILENCE! Thanks for the sympathy! haha!

    1. Oh man. I wish that were our case. I think whining is the worst. Few things drive me as insane as whining! Yes... We actually just got Netflix so I have a couple SEASONS of Calliou at the ready! HAHA! Sometimes its just better than completely blowing up on my innocent 2 year old! Poor dear.
