An angry post

I am just plain angry.

All of you who follow me on My Fitness Pal and or Instagram know that I have been KILLING it in the calorie/workout area. Since last Wednesday I have not take one.single.day.off.

This is huge for me. I usually do really well for one week and then the next week I totally blow it. But this week I kicked ass.  I am totally bragging because I have every right to. Plus I'm angry. I stepped on the scale this morning because I was too excited to wait until tomorrow and I HAVEN'T LOST A SINGLE OUNCE. Not even one.

The scale is a liar bitch.
Every single day besides Saturday I had calories to spare. Saturday I blew it. But I also got my butt up the next day and ran 6 freaking miles. I have burned between 950-1934 calories....
HOW IN THE WORLD DID I NOT LOSE WEIGHT?
Now I'm just bitching. I'm not giving up. I just don't see how it is humanly possible. And I wear a heart rate monitor so I know all these calories were what I actually burned. Not a made up number.  I worked out most days for 2 hours a day.

The scale is a liar.
You better believe that next week I will be killing it.

Update:
I couldn't wait to measure myself because I was mad.

SO SUCK IT SCALE:
Last week
Arms: 14.5
Thighs: 26.5
Bust: 39.5
Hips: 40
Waist: 34
Today:
Arms: 14
Thighs: 25
Bust: 38
Hips: 39
Waist: 33.5
That's a loss of 5 inches of my total body.

So I'll say it again. The scale is a lying bitch. I'm so glad that I took my beginning measurements. I am no longer discouraged.
Last week I lost 4.4 pounds but only lost 3.5 inches. This week I didn't lose anything on the scale but I lost 5 inches.
So within 2 weeks I have lost 8.5 inches off my total body.

I'm still mad at the scale.

  1. The scale does lies. It might take a week for it to catch up to all of your hard work. Your body might be in shock. You are doing great.

  2. When i was doing body pump the same thing happened to me. The instructor reminded me that muscle wieghed more than fat and that measurements can speak more volumes than the scale. Keep up the good work!

    1. Thank you so much. I feel 100% better... sometimes I just need to vent! haha! But knowing I am smaller is much better than a digital number on a scale that is probably wrong :) Thank you!

  9. Girl. I feel your pain and anger! I just started following your blog and I noticed that we are very similar in body size, etc (I'm 6'2" and 215). First, I will say that the scale is a frickin liar! I had lost 3.6 pounds total as of last Friday and then I got on the scale Monday and it said I had GAINED 3 of those pounds back! I mean, wha?! I , like you, know what I ate and know what I burned...so, what do you think it could be!?? Water weight? Anyway, I am trying to stay as positive as I can because I know that it all has to even out eventually :)However, I keep seeing all these women that are losing actual pounds and I can't help but wonder what's going on with my body...

But, CONGRATULATIONS on all your inches lost! Those really do count more than the # on the scale and you are doing a PHENOMENAL job!! I wish I would have thought to do mine!!!

Everytime I see you post your exercise on MFP Im so completely jealous that you kick complete butt when you exercise...which is like everyday. You inspire me to get my butt moving.! Be proud of those measurements!
