Running-Shoe-Linkup

I'm doing this Link-Up with Laura and Mel

button
1. What brand and style are your favorite running shoes?

Asics Gel Nimbus 12

2. Why are they your favorite?

They are the most comfortable running shoes! I actually did a lot of research and went to a running shoe store and tried on 3 different kinds and they were my favorite. So I went home and starting trying to find a good deal and I got mine for half of what the running store wanted off Amazon. I love them and have had NO issues with them.

3. Have you had any bad experiences with other brands? Which ones do you avoid?

I hate Nike. I love all their running clothes but their shoes are garbage  My feet ALWAYS go numb and ache when I wear any kind of Nike.
4. Do you have more than one pair of running shoes for different types of workouts?

Yes, I have my running shoes. The Nimbus 12's... then I have Asics Rush 33 shoes for like weights/ spinning. I just like these because they're comfortable and pretty. My other shoes are super not cute because I had to get a size 12 and no cute shoes come in size 12. So these are size 11 (my normal shoe size) and I just like them and they're pink. Win Win.

5. Have you ever been fit for a shoe by a specialist? Did you find this helpful?

Yes. I went to a running store in Cumming and they had me run on a treadmill to see how I ran and I got to watch it. Then she measured my foot and I tried on 3 different styles and I just liked the Asics the best. I also have to tie my shoe a different way than normal people because my toes go numb otherwise. I found this on Pinterest and it helped me a lot. I do the "Wide foot" tie... even though my feet are not wide at all.

  2. I always wondered if I could be real cheap and go to the running store to get fitted and then leave without buying shoes! I figured that their shoes were killer expensive and wanted to buy them somewhere else!

  3. I am glad you posted this- I have so many problems with my feet while running and sometimes exercising that I haven't even known where to start. They go numb and tingle, left ankle hurts etc.. the list goes on! Could be my very old shoes and/or the way I tie them. I am about to do some pinterest researching :)

    1. Amber Cole... You need to blog! haha!

Anyway... try some of the different ties and see which one works for you! It is a HUGE difference.. And you probably need new shoes if yours are old! They expire after so many miles :)

  4. Oh that is such a good idea to try out in the store, and then find them online on sale! My feet go numb and tingly in the nike's too...I thought it was just my feet! I'm starting to think my nike's aren't the best for my foot...I love my Asics Gel I just have to get past the blistering on my heel I guess. I am so glad you posted about toes going numb - mine do too, I had no idea tying your shoes a different way could help prevent this!!! Ah Thank you!
