Well I just spent the last 3 minutes trying to figure out how to spell "Shumday"... anyone know the correct spelling?
Well let's start with Saturday! I woke up feeling great. Got up at 6:30 in order to get to the 8:15 spin class! Well it just so happens that every. single. time. that I want to get up and go somewhere first thing in the morning THAT is the morning that Hazel wants to sleep in. So around 7:45 we had to wake her up. I didn't have time to fix her breakfast so I decided to stop on the way and get her some breakfast from Chic-Fil-A that she could eat on the way. Well we didn't get out of the house until almost 8 (the gym is about 8 minutes away) so I'm driving like a mad woman because I know that if Hazel doesn't get some food in her tummy that she will be ill the whole time in Kids Plex. So anyway we get to the at 8:13 and Jonathan ran in to get us bikes while I got Hazel into Kids Plex... While we were getting out of the car I saw Jonathan walking back to the door :(. There was only 1 bike left... So we decided to just do some other cardio stuff until Body Flow started.
We did the rowing machine. OH man! If you are looking forward to a shoulder workout that one is killer! We did it as fast as we could for 5 minutes and my shoulders were on FIRE and I was already sweaty! So after that we did the ropes in the Cross Fit area.. Man, those things are hard too! The Biggest Loser people make that look easy... I could barely do it for 20 seconds! After that we did some core then headed upstairs to do Jacobs Ladder. If your gym has a Jacob's Ladder you need to get you butt on that thing! We did it for 5 minutes and I was DYING. It's so hard.
Then we headed to Body Flow. I wasn't that impressed. It's like yoga, Pilates and Tia Chi rolled into one. It was okay but I wanted more of an intense workout and that wasn't it.
So after the gym we came back home and my mom came over to see Hazel. I did really well eating until it came to dinner and then I went all crazy and ate an entire bowl of cheese dip... It was so good... but I was miserable afterwards because I was so full. Like I could barely pick up Hazel. I had a food baby.
So Sunday comes around and I did well for breakfast and lunch because I knew I'd be having hot wings for The Super Bowl. I rarely eat or make hot wings because I can't really control myself. I could easily eat 25 and not blink an eye. I love them. Fried chicken covered in a buttery hot-sauce. Yes please. But like I said I rarely eat them so I don't feel guilty about it. I've maybe had them twice this year. And I only ate 10 wings so I consider that a win! Small changes people!
But now I feel like a big fat fatty and need to get my butt to the gym! I'm going to do Body Step at 10:15. Has anyone ever gone to that? I haven't tried that one and I don't really know what to expect but I know I need to burn some of my hot wing calories. Then at 5:15 I'm going to meet Jonathan, Aimee, and Kristy for Body Pump!!
I may have made bad choices this weekend but I'm determined to do well this week!
Also on a more fatty pants update: I won the coin toss thing from Papa Johns and I get a free pizza!!! I'll probably order it one Wednesday when we have small group so that Hazel and our baby sitter can eat it all. Otherwise I'll eat the whole thing and then be mad at myself.
Now go kick Monday's butt!!
